About Pembroke, KY - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
With fewer than 900 residents, Pembroke, Kentucky is one of the smallest cities in Christian County. It is part of the Clarksville, TN Metro Area and was originally settled in 1936. It was later incorporated into a city and was named for a character in the 1803 novel Thaddeus of Warsaw. Today, most residents of Pembroke commute to nearby cities for work, as the county seat of Hopkinsville is a short nine-mile drive. Guthrie and the Tennessee border are only 14 miles southeast.
The small community of Pembroke isn’t home to any major attractions, but a few local businesses do call the city home. Hosta Haven is a popular gift show that offers flowers, gifts, and antiques, and the Dollar General sells home essentials for bargain prices. Other destinations can be found in neighboring Guthrie, including the Robert Penn Warren Museum, which celebrates the Pulitzer Prize-winning author. Poetry fans will want to stop by the museum’s library to check out the private collection of first edition works, many of which are signed by the author.
Pembroke residents can enjoy outdoor recreation throughout the year due to the region’s varied weather conditions. Summers offer high temperatures and humidity levels, with thermostat readings exceeding 90 degrees many days throughout the season. Most residents invest in an Energy Star central air conditioner to beat the heat, and HVAC professionals offer periodic system maintenance to keep the systems in proper working order.
Winters here are cool or mild, and during the day, average highs reach the mid- to upper-40s. Overnight lows fall into the 20s, which is below the freezing point. Residents need to invest in a good gas or electric furnace to stay warm throughout the season. These systems are also an important investment when it comes to keeping energy bills affordable and protecting indoor piping systems.
